Who we are

Raul Cazan and Calin Gruia are two amateur cyclists who couldn’t think of a better way of putting their passion to a good use, other than riding for a charitable goal. Born in Romania, they have traveled and seen many places but haven’t forgotten their roots and the joy of supporting a good cause.

For two years, Raul was the Editor-in-Chief of the only Romanian environmental magazine, Green Report, a product among few of the kind in Eastern Europe. His latest project consists of setting-up an open virtual platform, named 2Celsius.net, regarding climate change and the green economy in Central and Eastern Europe. He was International Fellow with Earth Day Network in Washington, D.C., worked as an environmental law consultant for ENHESA in Brussels, as well as for WWF in Bucharest, and set-up the first Romanian Slow Food chapter. Promoting the bicycle, however, has always been his profession of faith.

Calin

Based in Sheffield UK, Calin is a Test Analyst for Autodesk LTD. Born in Romania, he has lived in Spain for two years and in UK for ten years. Out of passion for well-being and environmental conviction, he doesn’t own a car and uses his bike as the main mode of transport. As member of CTC (Cycling Touring Club) he is passionate about promoting cycling to everyone especially the younger generation.

Raul chose Kona Sutra and Ortliebs.

Kona Sutra serves perfectly even on muddy hillside rocky country roads.

Here is a presentation of the Sutra made by FlikBin.com; it is short and sounds pretty professional. It was shot at the Interbike 2009, however it features the 2010 model of Sutra. The differences are, nevertheless, insignificant.
