Europa este al doilea cel mai mare consumator de ulei de palmier din lume (dup\u0103 India) cu aproape 7 milioane de megatone de ulei importat pe an.<\/p>\n<p>Ar trebui s\u0103 se elimine treptat biocombustibili de prim\u0103 genera\u021bie dup\u0103 2020, crede Dings. Mai mult dec\u00e2t at\u00e2t, ar trebui s\u0103 se pun\u0103 cap\u0103t nebuniei prin care biocombustibilii ce d\u0103uneaz\u0103 climei se iau \u00een calcul drept combustibili cu emisii zero \u00een raport cu obiectivele climatice ale UE. \u201cDac\u0103 nu vom termina cu stimulentele pentru biocombustibilii r\u0103i, cei buni nu vor avea nici o \u0219ans\u0103&#8221;, \u00eencheie Dings.<\/p>\n<p>Comisia European\u0103 revizuie\u0219te \u00een prezent Directiva privind energia regenerabil\u0103 (RED), care decide viitorul actualei cote de 7% pentru biocombustibilii de prim\u0103 genera\u021bie dup\u0103 2020, precum \u0219i criteriile de durabilitate pentru toate bioenergiile, inclusiv biocombustibili. Comisia European\u0103 va publica o propunere \u00een ultimul trimestru al acestui an.<\/p>\n<p>Reforma de anul trecut a politicii de biocombustibili UE a stabilit o limit\u0103 privind cre\u0219terea consumului de biocombustibili bazat\u0103 pe teren, care, din cauza emisiilor la schimbarea indirect\u0103 a utiliz\u0103rii terenurilor (ILUC), a dus la o cre\u0219tere a emisiilor de carbon, mai degrab\u0103 dec\u00e2t la reducerea lor.
